A heavy police presence was reported Tuesday at Cooper City High School in Cooper City, Florida, after authorities responded to a reported bomb threat that prompted an immediate campus lockdown.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the incident began when a threat was called in targeting a nearby mosque. Officials said the caller claimed some form of connection to the high school, triggering concern for student safety and leading to a “Code Red” lockdown at the campus.
Law enforcement officers quickly flooded the area, securing the school grounds and surrounding streets as part of precautionary safety protocols. Students and staff were instructed to remain inside classrooms while deputies assessed the situation.
